FAQ

  • How much does it cost to have a mole removed?

A curettage and cautery mole removal at our Baker Street rooms starts at £200. Cryotherapy for smaller lesions starts at £50. As the clinic is run 'ad hoc' around our surgeon's NHS commitments, we have reduced overheads and can offer very competitive rates compared to other providers

  • Will I need to take time off work after mole removal?

No. Most procedures we offer take around 10-15 minutes, and our clients can return immediately to work or normal activities

  • Will the procedure hurt?

Although cryotherapy can sting a little, each application lasts less than 10 seconds so any discomfort is minimal. If we are doing a curettage and cautery, we use a local anesthetic injection. This stings slightly when it goes in, but after this the procedure is completely painless. If you are concerned or worried about any aspect of your procedure, please get in touch via email and we can talk you through it.

  • How long will it take for a removed mole to heal?

Usually it takes 2 to 3 weeks. If we have done curettage and cautery, you may be left with a very small pink scar. We can advise on how to optimize the healing process, and, unlike some other clinics, we won't try to sell you any expensive products for commission. Studies have shown simple, cheap moisturisers to be very effective - your surgeon can tell you more.

  • What are the risks of mole removal?

Our expert surgeon ensures that complications from cryotherapy and curretage are rare. Occasionally a minor infection can occur, or there can be some bleeding after curettage, or the resultant scar can be larger than expected.

  • Will I need a follow up appointment or aftercare?

The procedures we offer do not typically require a face to face follow up. Your piece of mind is important, so we are happy to give aftercare and advice by remote consultation at no additional cost.
